I would rate it 4 stars ★★★★
Chit Chat Chai
Located at M. G. Road, Kandivali West
I miss those office days and the tea breaks to have refreshing Adrak ki chai or masala chai at a tapri (small tea joint of Mumbai). That steaming hot pot and the tea vendor keeps stirring the boiling tea continuously. That aroma, that warmth; I miss all.
I have got a split personality of Tea & Coffee Lover
Basically, I was not a tea lover. But since I started working and having the tapri ki chai, I got this split personality of Coffee and Tea Lover. Nothing can beat a Mumbaiyya Masala chai and Adrak ki chai as a cutting (half a glass).
As I don’t work full time anymore and don’t visit the chai tapris that often, I end up going to some Next Gen Tapris (but still pocket-friendly).
So Chit Chat Chai is one of them. Located at M. G. Road, Kandivali West, this tea joint serves tea and some amazing snacks too.
First thing first, we headed to Chit Chat Chai for some steaming hot Adrak ki chai on a rainy evening.
We ordered a Panini sandwich – Chit Chat Chai Time
It was medium spicy and up to the mark.
And Ginger Tea
Undoubtedly one of the best Ginger Tea in the town.
AND Some plain fries for all of us
A cup of Bournvita for the little one
In our second visit, we ordered this non-alcoholic beer 🙂 The cranberry flavour was delish…
In our third visit, we ordered this Pull-Apart Bread – Paneer Pull-Apart Bread
This Paneer pull-apart bread was not that great. I found very tiny pieces of paneer in a small quantity. It looked yumm, tasted just Good. Nothing Extra Ordinary about the same.
Masala Chai –
This masala chai is divine. I ended up ordering another kullad of masala chai, but later got a lot of acidity due to the overdose of Chai 🙁
Last But not the least – Ossum Oreo Thick Shake
Overall a great experience and it is not that expensive experience. A cup of tea starts from as low as 25 Rupees but you may find the snacks a bit overpriced. The ambience is lively. The bulb decor makes it look warm. Always crowded with youngsters and may remind you of the college days.
It is great to have some chit chat chai time with your chai partners like friends, colleagues and family members.
You get a wide choice to choose your cup of tea and the snacks are great too.
