Aveeno Baby Daily Moisture Lotion Review- Happy Skin for Baby
Baby skin is mostly soft and supple. But there are the days when a baby’s delicate skin faces dryness, itching, and rashes. A good moisturizer becomes a must in this period to relieve the baby’s uneasiness.
My baby’s legs used to get dry most of the time. And the doctor had recommended moisturization. I tried using malai, giving a good oil massage before the bath. The skin used to become soft for a few hours after the bath but this did not long for the next few hours. Additionally, my daughter started getting prickly heat. I thought I should use some baby powder or prickly heat powder and asked the pediatrician accordingly. She said a big NO for powder, and prickly heat happens due to skin dryness after sweating so applying a good moisturizer after a bath is mandatory. She prescribed Aveeno Baby Daily Moisture Lotion.
The tube of the moisturizer I bought stated “Discover nature’s secret for baby’s healthy skin”, it is Fragrance-Free, Paraben-Free, and Phthalate-Free.
Product claims – Aveeno baby daily moisture lotion contains natural colloidal oatmeal blended with rich emollients to soothe your baby’s delicate, dry skin. The naturally nourishing, non-greasy formula absorbs quickly, moisturizes for a full 24 hours, and it contains no drying alcohols, and won’t clog pores. It is hypoallergenic and fragrance-free, so it won’t irritate a baby’s sensitive skin. It’s designed to be gentle enough for newborns.
The tube weighed 227 g and was big enough for a baby for 3-4 months, so though the cost seems to be on the higher side (Rs. 799), it is still worth purchasing the same for its goodness. I feel it is value for money.
Aveeno baby daily moisture lotion – The goodness of Ingredients like:
Water, Glycerin, Distearyldimonium Chloride, Petrolatum, Oat Kernel Flour, Sodium chloride, Cetyl & Benzyl Alcohol etc.
I usually try all the products on myself first and then try them on my baby. If it suits me, then I go ahead with it. Some products may suit me but may not suit my baby. So there is always a double-check and a few trials.
Day 1 –
I applied a small drop of Aveeno baby daily moisture lotion on my hands. Gave a nice massage like a manicure. Usually, I find my hands a little dry after washing utensils or doing any other household chores in water. And prefer applying coconut oil on dry hands. But this experiment turned out to be good enough. It was non-greasy and got absorbed quickly in the skin.
Day 2 –
I found my hands soft and supple the next day. It worked well overnight.
I bathed my daughter and then applied the Aveeno baby daily moisturizer on her entire body including back and neck area which was affected by prickly heat. Yes, as soon as the rains disappeared, she started getting prickly heat due to humidity in Mumbai’s weather.
After 3-4 hours, her skin was still supple. Did not see any dryness, and the prickly heat was not bothering her at all.
The procedure continued for the nighttime bath too.
Day 3- Aveeno Baby Daily Moisture Lotion Review
The next day I could see her prickly heat rashes fading away. And the skin was not dry at all.
I followed the same procedure on days 1 and 2 for my baby and for myself too, which mother doesn’t want to get smooth and supple skin after finishing the household chores.
This big tube of Aveeno baby daily moisture lotion has 2 in 1 benefits for the baby and the momma.
