Instant Dry Fruits Kheer – Immunity Booster Food For Toddlers

Immunity Booster Food – Seeing our kids going through the viral and painful infections is very painful for every parent. And I am nowhere different. My child was born underweight. She was prone to get infections very frequently.

This kept happening for almost three years of her age. And we were tired and pained to see her like this. Fever, cold and cough were erupting almost every month. We had taken the help of doctors and multi-vitamins too. But nothing really worked that well.

My father reads a lot about Ayurveda and natural living and he is forever against the allopathy medicines. Instead of keeping my daughter on medicines and so-called immunity boosters available in the market, he suggested some home remedies. And I started following it religiously.

The home remedies include the foods that we eat regularly. Nothing extra-ordinary was added to my daughter’s diet and lifestyle. And soon I started seeing a wonderful difference in her health.

The cold and cough episodes had decreased dramatically. She was getting fever fewer times now. And after a period of six months, she was much better than what she used to be.

Coming to the Recipe of one of the Immunity Booster Food For Kids that I offered to her. I offered her a small quantity of Instant Dry Fruits Kheer at least twice a week, along with the regular homemade meals.

This kheer or call it a thick shake, is one of the quickest and healthiest recipes to add in your child’s diet, and it can be given to the babies above one year of age. Just make sure there are no lumps in this kheer/porridge.

Recipe Of Instant Dry Fruits Kheer – Immunity Booster Food For Kids

Ingredients for This Immunity Booster Food

Black Dates – 3 dates deseeded

Black Raisins – 7-8 raisins preferably seedless

Saffron – 4-5 strands (optional)

Warm Milk – 1 cup

Pistachios – 7-8 pieces

Soaked Almonds – 2 pieces (optional)

Method  1

Add all the ingredients in the warm milk.

Let it soak for 10-15 minutes.

And grind this mixture to a smooth consistency in a grinder.

Make sure there are no lumps in this milkshake or kheer.

Serve this warm to the babies and kids.

 

Method 2

Add all the dry fruits and saffron strands to the mixer.

Add 2-3 spoons of milk to the mixer and grind it once.

Again add some more milk and grind it to a smooth paste.

Keep adding the milk till the time you get a very smooth consistency.

Pour it in a bowl or a glass and serve it to the kids.
